I feel a bit bittersweet when friends come and go; many of them do that, but others endure for much longer.

Does anybody feel this way?

Yeah, fairly the same, though it depends on how much of an effect they've had on my life. Trying to keep them could be worse in the long run and ditching them too early might be missing out on the gems they have to offer. Still find it hard to strike that balance >__<

It's like the changing of the seasons, you might say.....

My question is whether this is how it is for NTs.

Friends come and go depending on the work that needs to be done. But i find it very weird when people don't care about you for years and they say they are true friends.

I think it's normal for everyone whether AS or NT - sometimes people just grow apart from each other.

and some people get thrown away by others in a very casual way. Some say one thing and do another. I have had a co worker lie and generally stab me in the back and I just like to know why-well maybe NT people handle this stuff better-but I know I can not understand.

I've never really had it happen. It might just be because I'm very selective about who I call a 'friend' but all of mine still talk to me and I would still consider them to be my friends. I don't know how I'd feel if one of them just stopped talking to me. I guess it'd feel like a hole in my life for awhile.

What do you mean by feeling bittersweet?
