I have a bad habit of laughing on cue. Whenever someone says something that I know is meant to be funny my automatic reaction is to laugh no matter what even if it's not funny. If I don't find it funny I still force an unnatural laugh before I have a chance to stop myself.

It's such a bad habit. Not only does it makes me come across as a sarcastic as*hole but it's so loud that I appear obnoxious. I block out everyone else. Nobody else's laughter is heard. I'm so selfish.

I don't see where that is selfish. Just something you learned trying to please people, as you can at least recognize and also recognize that you don't like it. Give yourself some time to change the habit. Many of us have these little things, they are like an actors props for social situations that we may be uncomfortable in. I do that too somewhat. It isn't a loud laugh though, more of a polite chuckle or worse a 'titter'. Ugh. I notice sometimes people (myself included) employ this even when there is no humor (and no attempt at humor) in a conversation which is simply a mere exchange of basic pleasantries. This annoys me but apparently I do it anyway. I am around a lot of people who do this and it seems uncomfortable to stare at them glumly while they are doing it but then it starts to catch. :p
