I was just wondering if any of you have ever been blocked on Facebook by people who are your friends and then they contact you later just to tell you their page experienced some technical difficulties that accidentally blocked some of their friends?

Have you experienced this glitch or is that just another poor excuse because you do not want to hurt someone's feelings?

Is it just one person doing it? Or multiple?

I used to block people on facebook because I didn't want them to see that I friended one of their friends or just because of the fact that I didn't want them to see me on facebook.

But then again, facebook is history now in my case.

Regarding the glitches- I have heard about that story from a few different people that they has supposedly blocked by people's Facebook accounts facing a snafu. So they had to unblock and re-friend everyone.

However, I have heard this happening with two people now.

1. A girl who I used to work with who lied all the time had a page that supposedly had this glitch that seemed to block everyone who she had worked with. This was even though we knew that she was planning on quitting on us.

2. The second one is pretty recent. A close friend of mine had met someone through another friend of their's and they seemed to hit it off. He evidently was blocked on facebook by this person and was going to call her and she called him and said that facebook was experiencing problems with glitches. Several of her friends had gotten blocked as a result.

Then again, I don't know if that is an excuse or whether it really happens to people who have FB.

I have had that happen to me once before.
They were lying, though.

Not to protect my feelings or anything like that though (I think)
In my case, I reckon she just couldn't be bothered to explain why she had suddenly turned against me for no obvious reason.

I'm not sure whether that kind of thing happens genuinely on Facebook or not.

I am thinking that most of the blockings with that line are no more than an excuse because the other person just cannot bother to be honest.

I actually had that trouble recently. Either FB did it or I accidentally blocked a ton of folks.

Right now they are going through some change where it looks like some people are blocking you sometimes (can't find them in search or on other friends pages but then can find them on even other friends. It varies from day to day.)

I blocked everyone in my high school who knew who I was.

It all happened because of a tag on a yearbook picture. Some nitwit changed my name to something that sounded like "eggheaded", and that pissed me off. Same nitwit who was a compulsive liar back in high school and got taken advantage of for being fat and stupid.

Besides, they keep organizing high school reunions every two or three years. I am not interested really.

As far as I know, no one has ever blocked me on facebook.
