Hi,
my fiancee and I are both looking for new friends, meetups and such, because we want friends but tend to be very insular and isolated because of our ASD. We're both gamers, enjoy Pen n Paper and video games (console and computer).
We love animals, pokemon, anime, Final Fantasy, British comedy and we're hoping to meet some new friends who share some of our likes.

I'm in Rotherham, so I could come and meet you. But maybe not just yet as I've been talking to too many people recently, and I have a date next week.

I wonder if there are any other people from the Rotherham/Sheffield area on this site.

I'm waaay dahn sarf in the throbbing metrollopes of Old London Town so of limited social potential as far as geography goes.

But I just thought I'd post in order to wish you both well in your search for a wider social circle: May you find good, dependable and kind-hearted friends wherever you turn, and may your developing and deepening bond of friendship give added purpose to your lives, unqualified joy in your hearts, and (considered from a self-interested and inherently autistic stance) may your modes and manners of communication be enhanced by the interaction, to the ultimate ongoing, developing and hopefully ever-increasing social and emotional benefit of all involved.

I have to ask though ... what's "pen and paper"? is it some kind of coded or oblique reference to something else, or is it -- as I suspect a straightforward declaration that you enjoy impromptu and equipment free games such as noughts-and-crosses, hangman and battleships? Or perhaps Sudoku or crosswords (either plain or cryptic)?

Or is declaring an interest in pen and paper some sort of coded signal to fellow 'swingers' on the internet, like having pampas grass growing prominently in your front garden?

I WILL NOT SLEEP UNLESS YOU ANSWER MEEEEEE

Pen and paper RPGs are games like dungeons and dragons or World of Darkness, where you play a character like in an RPG video game except all your stats and relevant information is on paper and as you progress you alter it with a pen (or more likely pencil so it can be deleted and further altered)
