I'm in a tizzle... There's no video games where I live. Seriously, how is that even slightly possible? I mean, there's gamers everywhere... But none here. The other problem is, how can you spot a gamer? I mean, I want gaming friends...

Get Xbox live.

I don't own a XBOX or XBOX 360.

It depends. I'm the lone wolf type when it comes to gaming, I like to play games by myself. I wouldn't worry about finding local gamers, especially with no good multiplayer games. As for online console gaming, it's a waste of time.

I want to meet people who own Metroid Prime Hunters.

Here's an idea.

If you have the ability to travel, try using other forums to meet people in real life who share the same qualities that you have.

I can't travel.

I am a gamer, most of my games are driving games, and I don't have Metroid Prime please don't kill me.

Without the ability to travel, or access to a expansive gaming community, you won't find other gamers. I found most of my gaming friends at a Reanaissance festival lol. If you have any of those, you'll find all the gamers. I swear. On the other side of that, you could go to a midnight release event for a console or something of the like. I was at the Wii Launch and met a ton of people. TCG's are a great way to find gamers too. If you find a hobby store near you, then you'll find people who like to play games like Magic: The Gathering and the World of Warcraft Trading card game. Most of them like to play video games too.

Basically, there are places you'll meet them. On the whole, your school is not the place. Neither is your church. You'll have to go to non-mainstream places to find non-mainstream people. Good luck!

Not really. We don't get out much. College/Higher Education is about the only way to consistently find communities. World of Warcraft will help you find people. Another thing you could do is wear a shirt advertising your particular interest. That way, people who share that interest will strike up conversation with you. Talk to them! Get their number. Give them your number! Play your game!
