I can never come up with a speech about my paper

I have the same class this year as last year and every other Friday we have to go in front of the whole class and talk about our research. I hate doing it so much it made me consider not signing up for this class again. We have to come up with a summary of the research and then talk for about a minute regarding it. I always have trouble saying it in a different way than the paper says and I always froze up last year in the middle of the speech. The teacher doesn't allow us to look at the paper during the presentation so I cant even say at least one sentence right off the paper.

I suppose you have to imagine it like someone coming up to you while you were working and asking, "hey, what's this you're working on?" You wouldn't answer by picking up your paper and reading it out loud, would you? You'd give a quick summary of it. Your speech sounds like a slightly more formal version of someone just asking what your paper is about.
