But in the world out there, I have a very hard time making friends, I'm friendly, I know a lot of people but they are not friends. And I end up making friends with people with whom I work, depending on the projects I do I can make friends, but it's still not easy, especially in the world of art where they is a lot of hypocrisy and people getting friendly because they want something from you.
I didn't realise the artistic community was so hypocritical. I know that's my problem with most people.
I'm attending a few craft groups, and the ones with older people are the ones I fit in best. Older people are more real if you ask me. =] Also they're so sarcastic and blunt it makes me laugh. So yeah, definitely fit in.
It's just it'd be nice to meet people my age that are like me. I'm very intelligent, and while a lot of people are nice they can sometimes be so boring because their subjects of interest are just TV (but you can't talk about it too much because you're 'over thinking it') and certain subjects shut other people down because they think you're showing off
(I guess that bit above looked like I am, but meh, I'm just saying the truth).
Other people who are intelligent are often
SO focused on power battles; trying to be the best person in the room. It makes it hard to like them and confusing about where to go for friendships.
Agree that I know a lot of people, and I'm friendly, but I'd say most of them are just acquaintances.
