How can I stop making people be so indifferent towards me?

Find something to be expert in that will make people take interest.

I second the suggestion of finding something to be be an expert at. Also, any talent you can develop, be it playing a musical instrument or telling jokes well and making people laugh. Comedians and rock stars often say that they were ignored until they started being in a band or making people laugh. People love someone who entertains them.
