Last week started my new job. However for 4 years I have avoided work and lived of my parents. My uncle took offensce to my actions and said to me "your playing your parents for a fool"

More to the point my brother said to me recently in regards to my uncle giving me a hard time over not working "your uncle is a good judge of character.

What is my brother hinting to me towards my uncles view of me as a person by that remark? A lot of people think i am a nice guy and charming.

What were your reasons for avoiding work?

Having to get up early in the morning, stress, my mental health, dealing with people and generally just enjoying leisure time to having to work.

Maybe your uncle took offence because he thought that you were avoiding work solely or mostly because you'd have more fun if you weren't working, and your brother was wondering whether, if that was the case, your uncle had a point, because he usually admires your uncle's opinion on a person's character?
