I'm fifteen years old. Last year, when I was fourteen, I met a young woman who was twenty-two. We RPed online, and she had a really cool character. She was also super nice, if a little sad.

So I began to message her privately, and now we send about thirty messages a day. (<200 characters per message. ) I have told her about rules at my school, my parents, brother, and friends. However, I've been careful not to reveal even days off lest she find me. She does not know my first or last name or state, not my family and friends' names either. She knows I am in a college town in the Eastern time zone.

She has not asked for these things. We also discuss fiction, our characters, the story, and video games a lot. We occasionally speak of TV.

She has posted about five photos, home-taken, involving her body, hand, or torso without including her face. ??? And an audio of her singing.

We plan to meet up February 14/15. When I said my mom would there, she said, "Well, that's understandable."

She's also liked practically every photo I take of myself.

I sometimes get a bad feeling about her, but my mom says not to worry because she's not enticing me to do anything, and she likes my photos because she's nice. My mom also wanted to drop me off to meet her alone, so long as I stayed in public.

Does she sound like trouble, or am I just being paranoid?

I think she seems okay.

She doesn't mind it if your mother is present at your first meeting--that's a sign that she has good intentions for you.

Do you feel a commonality with her?

Yeah. We like the same things, to an extent, and she listens to me. I try to do likewise. She's also easier to roleplay with, though she's been having issues lately.

It's still good that your mother is going to be with you when you first meet.

No one knows the future.
So the best thing to do is have good back-up plans in case something goes wacky until you can be sure that people, places, things, are reliable.
This is useful whether you are buying a used car, getting a pet, going to a new restaurant, or meeting new people.
With a used car; don't get too far from home until you know how reliable it is.
With a new pet; don't leave it alone too long until you know it wont choke to death trying to swallow a sock.
With a restaurant; be careful of the sushi.
With a new person; make sure you can easily get help if they go physically/sexually psycho, until you know how reliable they are.

It's really the same thing for everything, so no worries!
...and carry pepper spray. =)

I don't see the need for pepper spray.

I think this will prove to be a nice meeting for the both of them.

When I was young, I used to want a "pen pal." It was a longing, really.

attempted comic relief ... or "speak softly, and carry a big stick"...
there are countless reasons for pepper spray in general -you're very smart, I'm sure you actually can think of some, it's a good thing for a woman to have in her purse in any case.
I'm guessing you thought I meant "get some pepper spray and spray your new friend in the eyeballz and run away screaming before she can say Hi."
Good plan, but I didn't actually think of it til now.
