You'll get better when you go on, their might be a swedish topic also! I was uncomfortable with it too, not that I don't know english, but here it's often another english to me.

English can be a hard language to learn if you didn't grow up speaking it, or if you moved to an English-speaking country from somewhere where no a lot of people speak English.

When I was in Grade 7 I had a classmate who had just moved from Ethiopia and he wasn't very good with his English. 3 years later, he is pretty much fluent. He takes ESL classes at school to improve his English, so maybe an ESL class could be a good investment.

I knew 3 guys who moved from the Middle East who didn't speak English well either, its been 2 years and their English has improved.

Look at it this way. You speak English better than English speaking people speak Swedish. If they want to be friends they have to learn to be patient. I am actually more comfortable around non English speaking people than I am English speaking people. I know non English speaking people in the United States who are very successful financially. Here in the United States, people wrongly want immigrants to forget their own culture and identity when they move here. forget their language, heritage and history. And it is not so much for the benefit of the newcomer as it is to make things easier for the poor American. Sorry for jumping off topic. It's a touchy subject for me.

from reading your posts i had no idea your english was "bad", you are perfectly intelligible to me. you will become better over time, that blasted language is everywhere, you'll pick it up more eventually, especially living in the west.

sure, you have the occasional typo and grammatical bug on here but that does not bother me. still, i don't speak for everyone.

perhaps your written english is better since you have more time to process it and correct any mistakes.

would accept an english language learner swede as a friend? well, language has little to do with it-depends on his personality.

Of course I would! And you will only get better. It doesn't matter what you sound like. It matters what kind of person you are. And, many girls think foreign men are cool and mysterious. ;)

I'm sure you will have no trouble finding friends.
