Friend's superbowl party

I have a guy friend who I have known for the past decade and he has usually been pretty cool about inviting me to things. He has always returned my texts in the past.

Superbowl Sunday is this weekend and I never got any invitation to a party even though I have been invited for the past few years and then I had then when I had television. I posted on FB news feed that I was wondering who was having an event. I found out that this friend was having a party through another friend of ours. He had supposedly sent an invitation to others who he is friends with on FB. Meanwhile he did not have the courtesy to call me or text since he has my number. So I texted him to see if it would be okay to stop by that night since the location is in a sports bar and not at his house. Is that even appropriate?


Well he has not responded to my text so far and I know that he received it when I had texted him but he never bothered to write back. What do I do in this situation because I am confused.

I don't know if he is mad at me or feels turned off over something that I did that he didn't like, or if he is super busy.

Does he even know you like football? I've invited several people to my own superbowl party but I only invite people whom I know like football. My little pony and football are two interests that are about as opposite from each other as humanly possible too, and that's not a jab at you, I'm only saying he probably doesn't even know if you'd have fun.

I think it's easy for me though because I practically live and die by what the seahawks do and everyone who knows me knows this about me, too..

He knows that I am not a big fan but he does understand that I will sit down and watch a game from time to time. He knows I enjoy doing a super bowl party because I love watching the creativity of the commercials. Then I love my friends next to super bowl food. As far as MLP he has been pretty cool with it since he likes some of the characters and will imitate them. He is not a die hard fan and is more interested in talking about girl's cleavage and having a filthy mouth. As far as my interests I enjoying reading about what's going on in the astronomical world, watching them launch the latest space vehicle, or listening/reading about or hearing what Temple has to say.

He is on the spectrum himself and is very good about inviting people to things because he wants to be around other people. Knowing him in the past he would have called me and said

"Hey girl do you wanna hang out? I am having this really awesome super bowl party." This time he didn't and I am a little shocked as to why.
