How to ask for financial help

How do I ask for a loan? My life fits in two rucksacks at the moment and I have about £10.00 left. I've just graduated from uni by some miracle but all that awaits is the vast city. Im looking for work but it's in short supply where I am. I spoke to someone who hasn't been successful after a year of job hunting.

I just made contact with a great jazz bassist though and he has a regular circuit which he would like me to accompany him on. I however don't own any musical instruments. I have a Yamaha toy keyboard which I borrowed in exchange for free lessons but that's it.

My uncle really dislikes me, its unreal. It all revolves around his staunch belief that i'm feeling sorry for myself and nothing more. As a consequence of that me asking him for a loan (150) to buy some equipment will probably be perceived as begging or scrounging.

I dont want to ask my parents because things are hard for them at the moment. They're not much better for my uncle but my intention is to pay the money back out of the earnings from performing. It's a last ditch thing really because I can't ask anyone else since apart from my uncle and immediate family there isnt anyone in my life.

You're probably going to have to stay with someone until you find a job. Ask your parents if you can stay on their couch while you get a part time job. Get a fast food job until you can get something better.

You're looking at being homeless right now, as in sleeping on the street. It'll be Winter soon, so you probably don't want to do that.
