When you talk with people, do you look at one eye (without switching), both eyes at once, or inbetween both?

I generally look at their mouth. It's much easier than staring at one/both eyes, but it gives NTs the "respect" they crave through body language.

people like to be look at both eyes when talking, because in the NT world, that means that you are paying attention to them. Also, not looking at the eyes can be mistaken for shyness or not being honest.

I don't understand how one can look at both eyes at once? To do such a thing you would have to focus REALLY far behind the person, which then again wouldn't really be looking at eyes in the first place.

If a person only uses one eye for "eye contact," the person will look sort of ridiculous. It might be perceived as winking, as mockery, or as befuddlement. It's better to make eye contact with both eyes.
