I have a first cousin who I used to be close with who is 7 years younger than I am. For the last 15 years though she has been ignoring me or often takes an attitude with me when I do try to talk to her. It's mainly because she has been brainwashed into this idea that I am a lesser of a person than she is because her family and have piles of money and mine don't. She has also been taught that I am "Mentally ill" because I am autistic.
She recently started a series of blogs on cooking. I happened to comment on them because I wanted some ideas for Thanksgiving but not only did she not respond but she removed the posts as well.
I would like to assert myself with her without calling her names or being too harsh. So far I have come up with "Pleaase treat me with respect." I would also like to drop a hint that autism is not a mental illness.
