Hi:
I was wondering if you have ever had a been friends with someone which appeared to go smooth for a while but then they go away for a little while, come back and act like they can do things that people with "Asperger's Syndrome can't?"

Example- Getting into military, law enforcement etc.

I would never have been able to get into the military or law enforcement.

Many people I know have been in both, though.

I had a friend who I met through a support group for young adults with Asperger's Snydrome through an autism center. We were friends as long as they had that diagnosis. Then they went down to a vocational program for 9 months only to discover that they did not have Asperger's Syndrome and got into the military. Not only that they made a cutting remark about how they did not think people with Autism could get accepted in a very snobby tone.

He sounds like a knob. He'll probably piss someone off and get his butt kicked in the military. That attitude will not last long.

This was a number of years ago and they aren't in the military anymore. I just posted this because I was wondering if anyone else had friends like her.
