I think much of it is my fault being not open towards strangers.

I've felt that plenty of times, usually at night after a stressful day. You might try calling up some friends and see if they want to do something, you might be surprised that they feel the same way and just need to get out of the house. You might also try to do something creative or relaxing if you can't find anyone to hang out with. Failing that you might try to see if there's anything new in your area that might interest. Expanding your list of interests can help you to have a larger pool of friends and thus more opportunities to get used to socializing and staving off that loneliness.

I think Asperger people are really shy around strangers & don't know what to say, I'm really shy at first. I have to ask a question to talk.

Yeah.
But then when conversation has started it's hard to keep it up.
Do you have that problem as well?

I know how hard that can be and in fact I do still struggle with starting and keeping a conversation going. What are some of your major interests? You might try to see if there are local groups for them and thus be able to find people who share said interests. That then gives you a topic to first focus on as an icebreaker. One of the best tips I can give you is to try and relax and let the conversation flow naturally. Usually asking people things like what their other interests are or what their experience with a given interest will help keep the conversation going at least for a little while.

Have you posted your art in the Art and Literature section?

Do you study the history of art much?

Are you shy about posting your art?

It will encourage people to talk to you. And you to talk to them in response.
