I thought it'd be a handy idea to start a thread for recommending self help books the fellow Aspies may find useful.

To kick start it:

For anybody who really struggles with body language (both using it and interpreting it), I highly recommend "need to know? Body Language", published by Collins. It starts off with some very easy examples and gradually introduces you to more subtle signals. Definitely worth reading.

One by Jerry Newport is mainly for teens but the title is: Sexuality, Puberty, and Relationships; An Aspergers Guide to Love

I'm not sure if that is the actual title. :?

I'm finding The Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome by Tony Attwood very helpful, interesting and easy to read. He says things like, "Typical children do this. Children with Asperger's Syndrome tend to be more like this," and I keep thinking, "Oh my God, I had no idea that wasn't normal! Boy, that explains a lot!"

He points out why cartain aspie behaviours are strange and how other people react, and what a neurotypical person would do instead. It's really enlightening.
