I rarely go out with friends but when I do I always get anxious before I go out and fear I will somehow make a fool of myself or say something weird. Then when I meet up with them I'll slowly calm down and relax but I don't like feeling stressed out before that. How can I relax and don't worry too much about it?

Maybe you do make a fool of yourself, but your friends don't mind, otherwise they wouldn't be your friends. So just remember, your friends like you the way you are, and if you do end up making a fool of yourself, your friends will still like you afterwards, so you don't need to get worried about it. Even NTs make fools of themselves sometimes.

I made a really big fool of myself last night. My uncle took me along with him to play Arkham Horror with a bunch of his friends, and my absolute lack of common sense and general awareness caused me numerous problems eg. got pie on the cards, nearly got blood on the cards while dealing with a bloody nose, accidentally barged on a woman in the bathroom (I didn't even realize she was in the house) while trying to get more toilet paper to deal with said bloody nose, and somehow the only annoyance I noticed was from my uncle's best friend in his voice when I kept asking questions about the game as I haven't played it about a year. Guess everyone was also taking pity on me as I had to worst luck ever that game, but they were understanding enough not to kick me out, and I'm sure you probably wouldn't make as big of a fool of yourself as I made of myself.

I do as well, but I think that most of the time it's caused by a combination of disruption of my normal routine and knowing that I'll have to attempt to socialize.
