Which one's more socially-focused?

They are both heavily socially-focused, but I'd say school is more.

I'd say that schools are more socially focussed. Of course, I'm just speaking about my experience.

Are you talking about high school or college? When I was a kid in high school, it was a social jungle until age 16 or so, which made me completely miserable. After that, people got more mature, interacting with those they liked, and simply leaving those they didn't like alone. I am now in college, 20+ years later, and I can almost precisely regulate the degree and nature of interactions between others and me. That is, I am barely ever being forced into anything I don't want, and if that does happen it's not a serious situation.
