I am 5ft7 and in social situations I have encountered some guys who are well over 6ft who dislike/don't want to associate with me because of my short stature.

Any good reasons why very tall guys would dislike me for being small?

It may not so much be dislike you as much as lack respect or take you less seriously.. or your personal insecurities may just be making more of it than what it really is.

Perhaps very tall guys would rather associate with other very tall men? And a short man ruins there image especially if they want to attract women?

It's like how I notice bald men always seem to hang out with other bald men.

I'm 5 foot 5. I've had quite a few friends who are over six feet.

A good friend of mine (who moved away) is 6 foot 4.

No, not size related.

I'm also 5'5" and connect with many heights.

My wife is taller than me.
My favorite guitar player and friend in our area is very tall.

Full disclosures - I have more aquaintences than friends.

Are you sure it isn't because you get drunk and do stupid things at bars?

Doing stuff like that in public can give you a bad reputation.

It may also be due to feeling awkward around you due to being tall while you are a shorter size.
