I live in Spain now. Im so alone. The heat is driving me crazy and all the noise, the sun and traffic.... Fast talking people, new language. Always sweatting ! ! My hair is sticky and I cant sleep because of the heat.

I cant find any AS groups or anything related to Aspergers here in Spain and there is no freak shop or store that sells board games in my town..therefore my security is totally lost + being in a new country, new environment just about new everything. Spain doesnt have any good books in english..everything is in Spanish ! ! They dont have library open and they have no book cafe.

Im feeling depressed and alone even though I have my family and kids here with me. We had to move here so I have to get use to it.

Any one in Spain :? ?

Go talk to some Neurotypicals and ditch the idelogy marked in kid blocks:

"AUTISTIC YEA!"

instead go with, written in text on a paper like a broken bone:

"High-functioning Autistic"

Gestopo and Rome hows it going? Great? I am going to help these guys mature.

Rome: Popular members with most skill points that tell a user to go jump off a bridge.

Gestopo: Elite admins and mods that claim because they have been around the longest that tell you to go jump off a bridge and explain in great length why jumping off a bridge is the best option.

Just honestly try to be friends with any person.

In many instances as cruel as this pressure may sound, just get a psychiatrist or therapist. They will help you with this, or try talking to some support groups or people that care about you.

I am going to be honest you can not just stay with "autistic" people. My friend and I are autistic and we just do not care about it and just continue on with life trying to do the most we can.

But Gestopo and Rome want you to do "simple" things. Things they would tell a person with down-syndrome to do.

Neurotypicals and in fact lets ditch neurotypical and normal. PEOPLE want you to succeed in life, you just blind-sight it all by the belief that people are all working against you.

Just simply go outside and explore things and quit giving a damn about this AUTISTIC thing.

If you were able to put your clothes on and write clearly what your issue is and explain it effectively, the only issue that is stoping you from befriending people in Spain is what I metaphorically explained as the "Gestopo" and "Rome".

I'm being honest you don't want a life being accepted with kids blocks, the way to get to being with Neurotypicals is to throw away the idelogy that friends are a necessity.

Friends a necessity?

So I should bug the hell out of some random person and force him or her to be my friend?

Hahahahahahahahahaha!

Acquienteances are people that do not call you back that just pleasantly speak with you.

Friends are guys you have known well together and are face to face with for more than 3 years that try to help you in life and tell you flaws and try to assist you with flaws.

Meanwhilr with the Gestopo and Rome, they only want you to stay on this forum for what I consider advertising money and do now what you to sensibley try to get out there and come to terms with people and bear the insults.

You are not the only on in Spain, if you pass by any homeless people, congrats they hardly have any friends.

More importantly the ones that you see alone, because the public pass by them.

Don't depend on the Gestopo and Rome.

Are you near Sevilla? Or Majorca?

It must be nice during the day, but probably lonely at night.

It's probably a good time for sleep. Nobody's out at 0235....except maybe in Madrid or Barcelona.

Are you English by nationality?

What made you move there?

I know it can get dreary in Iceland.

I heard that Norwegians have difficulty understanding Icelandic; do you have trouble understanding Norwegian?

Its getting more and more exspensive to live there, thats the main reason. I can read Norwegian and understand a bit but not much. Same with Swedish. Danish is a little bit more difficult, to understand I mean.

Most Scandinavians speak English since it's a mandatory second language, Spanish, French and German used to be optional third languages, as well as any other languages if you speak any other (i was given the option to learn Finnish because parts of my family being from that place).

Well, your alternative is to move - or to learn to palabra espanol. In some parts of Spain, like Barcelona some speak English well, so another option is to relocate within Spain.

2:35 in the morning is an excellent time to swim in the Mediterranean—no chance to get sunburned!

By the way, if you want to find English speakers and English-language books, can't you just go to Gibraltar? It should be pretty close—definitely much closer than any big Spanish city like Madrid, Barcelona or even Seville. If I were you, I'd hurry up before they close la verja as a result of Brexit

I think that a small town on Malaga is just a bad place to live if you are an autistic nordic inmigrant. If your family and the good beaches aren't enough to satisfy your life, I'd consider moving somewhere else. If you have to stay in Spain, I'd choose the Basque Country. It's not hot at all there (well, it may be hot for you being icelandic, but I don't think so), it's much more quiet and paceful than southern Spain and people is shyer and more comprensive. I don't know much about the AS community there (I'm from southern Spain too, though I'm moving as soon as I start college), but I'm sure of that if there's any big AS community besides in Barcelona and Madrid, it has to be in there, because it's the more developped, rich, open-minded and intellectual place in Spain. It also has a richer cultural offert, more parks, bicycle facilitues... In summary, it's the most paceful, cosmopolitan and open-minded place we have here (also the coldest and rainiest) The main problem is that as it's the richest place, it's also the most expensive, so if you are here because of lack of money, it may be too expensive for you. Also, the language is a problem, because besides Spanish, Basque is also an official and institutional language, and it's completly different to any language that exists (it's and isolated language).
