Sitcom represents "Friends who really dislike us."
So I had most recently been watching Netflix since I have done away with regular television since 2013. I had happened to stumble upon a sitcom with Tim Allen from a show called "The Last Man Standing." In Season 1, I happened to watch an episode titled "The Odd Couple Out." This episode represents low quality "Friend" who don't really like us or lose interest.
1. A neighbor and friend, Michelle boasts to Vanessa (Co-star to Tim Allen playing his wife) that she had a party and had invited everyone but Mike and Vanessa
2. Michelle squeals and gets quiet before quietly walking away from Vanessa after confronts her by asking which neighbors were present
3. Michelle later gives an excuse that Mike (Tim Allen) can be too honest and had jokingly insulted her on the way she does her career
Later in the show.
1. Mike and Vanessa make up with Michelle and go out to dinner with she and her new boy friend. During the event, Michelle implicates that she's not really having a party but having a small gathering but that she's not interested in inviting Vanessa while everyone else in the neighborhood is invited.
2. Vanessa confronts Michelle who passive aggressively tells Vanessa, "Okay, I am going to be really honest with you. One of the other couples in the neighborhood don't like you and they were comfortable with you being there."
3. Vanessa asks if she can dis-invite them and have she and Mike over only to be shot down by even more passive aggressive behavior. "It's just that we are really close friends."
Anway, for those of you struggling with a situation like or have in the past, here are some excellent signs on supposed friends who really dislike us and don't want us around.
