What are cookouts?
If there's food involved though then I probably do.
Although I'm quite fussy about food.

Cookouts are when you cook stuff like burgers, hot dogs, fish, etc. on a grill outside and family or friends come to eat and talk and stuff.

I usually like cook outs, especially if it is nice out. (not really hot)

Oh right I know what you mean, we don't call them that over here though. I've never been to one. I wouldn't like it because I'd have to talk to people and if it's hot outside I'd feel ill. I like hotdogs though.

I don't really care about them except that I like the food. In Florida, it's usually very hot and humid. Who wants to be standing anywhere near a hot grill when it's already like an oven outside? Also, the bugs love cookouts, too. So you end up eating the food and the bugs end up eating YOU. I'd rather eat indoors in a nice climate-controlled setting.

I like the food, but I tend to have to go with my family and I don't like that.

I like the food. I find the people aspect stressful, but I can usually find a small group or a single person to talk to that's not too bad. I don't like it when somebody insists on playing frisbee, which requires way more coordination than I have. If we play a board game, that works well for me.

Toward the beginning, when there's no food to distract yourself with and everybody is wandering around greeting each other with way too much enthusiasm, I will just end up taking on a host-type role and making sure that there are serving spoons for everything and arranging the stuff on the tables and getting stuff set up.

Cookouts are good for the food. If I like the people, then that aspect isn't too terrible. If I don't, well, I'll wait inside until the burgers (or whatever else) are ready, grab one, then back to the shadows after a quickly mumbled thanks for the burger. If it is just me and a grill... hell f*****g yeah I like cookouts.
