Does anyone else find that alot of people bother, upset, or annoy you in one way or another. Even things that don't seem to bother anyone else? Also has anyone else found that when you are in a miserable mood, you want to be surrounded by other miserable people?

Yes, I get both of those things. Being with miserable people when I'm miserable makes me feel better, even though it probably actually makes me worse.

It happens sometimes that people upset me even though I know they're trying to be nice. I often spend time at the earth science library at university. One day the librarian noticed that I sit on the windowsill rather than the sofa, and so the next day she decided to put cushions on the windowsill. I know she didn't mean any harm since she had no reason to assume I have asperger's, but it still upset me. NT students would probably have considered it a friendly gesture.

yes, this happens to me a lot. Sometimes it is unintended, other times people know full well that they are taking advantage of the fact that I am more sensitive and vulnerable to pick on me - I guess it amuses them or makes them feel powerful or something. Who knows?

What frustrates me is if you try and report these people, others seem to take their side - the attitude seems to be that if you are 'different' or 'vulnerable' or 'sensitive' in any way it is your fault and you deserve to be picked on and you deserve everything you get.

It's as though people like me just aren't welcome in this world - or at least only if I am happy the be the object of bullying and ridicule.

Yea, I easily get upset by people and I then start hating them and critising them. Well.... actually my classmates are a different story. They always act stupid so it's not my fault. Oh well, I just wish I can get out of this hell hole and go to highschool next year.

highschool isnt going to be any better
in fact it may even get worse
but you should take advantage of your youth and have fun with it

HS could be the best time of your life depending on how you handle it

Yeah, I know what you mean. Today I got annoyed when I was at café with my friend, and a person we both know (not well) appeared there and started to talk. I get really frustrated if someone just keeps talking and talking, like there is an endless stream of words. That makes me want to smash and break something, argh! My friend didn't seem to be annoyed at all, but I was just being quiet and spaced out. When someone is talking too much, I just "tune out", because it somehow overwhelms me and I can't concentrate anymore.

Crimes of innocence, it sounds like a lot of it is. Even people trying to be nice. (Gestures of friendliness can often be hard to interpret)

Remembering that these people aren't trying to hurt you or offend you (most of the time) is really the key in NOT getting frustrated. After all, even if it's misguided, isn't an effort to be decent worth commending?

Yes, I get that, too. People trying to cheer me up often has the opposite effect, leading to me flying off the handle and bellowing at them.

This doesn't go down well.

There's this one guy who tries to tag along with my two friends, and I. It was just recently that he told me to lose weight, and told my lady friend to stop staring at him. We both told him off.

Sometimes. Someone is really upsetting me at the moment, but it's my own fault. I should have seen it coming. When i'm upset, I would rather be around cherry people to help improve my mood.
