Brush off all the harsh negativity like it is some mustard stain on your shirt. While dealing with more negativity outside, do not look at the outside like it is a battlefield, but like a heaven. The reason for doing all of this is so that you can be more motivated to work happily and productively, rather than depressingly doing nothing while beating yourself up.

The thing is, our brain concentrates automatically on negative side of things. It is logical in a way, because it forces us to look for solutions. However too much may lead to depression.

Good news is that you can train your brain to see the positive side of things.

When I was depressed some years ago, I was only seeing negative everywhere. I went to psychologists, didn't help.

In the lowest point of my depression (crying all day long), I decided to force myself to find something that really made me happy everyday, every single day (a flower, the sun, a smile, whatever). I was writing it in an agenda. It was extremely hard at the beginning. And little by little I was finding nice things easier, I also started to look for those little nice things, I eventually started to create them. :) (the depression ran away)

The following things can be negative:
Electrical charge
Numeric values
Your bank balance

Applying such a label to attitudes, observations, reasonable assessments of situations or prospects, and opinions is nonsensical and wrong.

I am actually talking to a therapist regarding negativity and when you focus on the negative of others, you really do hurt yourself. I have also learned that when you badmouth others, it actually will make you feel icky inside.

It always seems that I have so many negative things in my live. But once I get into college in the fall. Some of that will go away. Not all of it. But some. And one the things I was the most negative with was not being able to have anything with WiFi in my room. Since my grandparents didn't trust me with internet. But after years of complaining and thinking it's stupid. Last week I finally got it back in my room. So I finally brought my Wii U in my room and used it mostly for YouTube. So that's one main negative thing done. But like I said. I still have a lot though.
