Who here has a best friend of the opposite sex? Are you close friends, do you spend much time together, and do they contact you often? Are you your best friend's best friend?

i had a very good female friend (we used to go out, but just as friends) and one very good male friend (my flatmate). once, i introduced them to each other, they fall in love together (oh, how happy i was that it was me who made them so happy) and from that day on, i almost didn't see them again. they closed themselves from the outside world including me. they moved out to their own flat and i stayed completely alone. no more friends.

My best friend is a woman. I am currently dating her. In high school, one of my two best friends was a girl as well.

I have great female friends{about 3} that I pretend are guys when they're not around me, especially at home because i cannot hang around girls.
I did tell my girl friends that; I received great laughs in return.

Anyone have a problem similar to what I just said?

I don't have a best friend of any sex. Out of the two people in school who were proper friends, one was male and one was female. And I've since found out both are no longer religious and have admitted they're gay lol

For almost all my life my best friends were guys. Only very incredibly rarely do I come across females with whom I am at ease in the same way. I get the feeling like I would get along pretty well with quite a few ladies from WP though.

The problem with guy friends is that friendship generally isn't all they have in mind. It took me until I was about 22 years old to realize that much.

Now I basically don't have friends. I mean, I have people who I know and who seem to like me just fine, and with whom I can go out and pass time if I please. But they're the kind of relationships that drain energy, even though they're nice people. I haven't had the kind of friend that energizes me for a couple years now. That might have more to do with me than the people I'm meeting though... I don't know.

I have 2 best friends, beside my boyfriend ( i consider him my best friend-lover). The one I knew for 15 years is a guy, and we never felt "that way" about each other. We always were good friends. He's a rather odd character even by this board's standards and has the biggest collection of Transformers I have ever seen. He even made me an honorary guy, so that is cool. He met the woman who became his wife and I became good friends with her, too, since she is very much like him and a real person. We've all stayed great friends and they're easy to be with. They just moved, so I'm sad--- but I'll be visiting them in a couple of months so it's ok.
I've met other people who say they're my friend, but they either end up not being my friend or just acting like it. I think most people would be called acquaintences or coworkers.
