My two younger brothers (both of whom are young adults attending college) have a nasty habit of bringing books they like to read to the dining table during dinner. Some books are considered relatively sacred by our family because of their Judaic content. Others are secular books that they got from the local libraries through my library card. (Have either of them ever considered getting their own library cards?) Either way, they risk damaging their books and make a mockery out of spending time with the family. I'm not exactly too fond of my parents, but at least I have the decency to excuse myself from the table and wash my hands after eating. What should I tell my brothers, assuming I should tell them anything at all?
