She and I went for last month and she settled our check before I could say anything. Well yesterday she saw our tea shop was open...last place was not as good. I told her it was on me this time.

Great time as she and talked about education. I'm a para in a special education class. This woman does not toss out compliments like candy so when she sent me a note thru Facebook saying she admired my skills and enjoyed my company.

That sounds like the blossoming of a great friendship. I'm a big believer in friendship transcending the boundaries of age.

She and I hit it off but not at first....this was worth the wait.

You have had some social successes recently - this tea date, the party to try oil painting. I hope they will make your school year go more happily this year than last. You will still find some of the staff boring and petty, but it makes all the difference to have a few good relationships.

Bea, I got rid of some dead weight in my life which made room for healthier relationships.
