Hi:
I had posted a graphic photo on facebook which came with an article about an autistic boy and most people were for me posting that photo except for one woman who I connected with from a Christian singles ministry 8 years ago. She posted by saying that she didn't need to see that. I wrote back and said that I was sorry but I wanted to show that because it goes to show how far it goes to show how people can go to hurt someone. She wrote back and said, "Well it's hurting me." I wrote a string of comebacks including one implying that she seemed to think that the world revolving her on Facebook. She came back and said that I am the one who is "Self-centered" for showing that because it was on "Her Facebook." I ended up unfriending and blocking her before confronting her in a message that she will never talk to me again and that she's arrogant and seemed to be someone who lives in her own little world.

Well, it got so bad that her husband messaged me by defending her and stating that it was uncalled for me to call her out and also agreeing that my posting was inappropriate before blocking me himself.

You were right, they were wrong.

Maybe some secret guilt from their pasts ... ?

Never thought of it that way but rather saw it as people who live in their own worlds who belong to a very cliquey Christian singles ministry that's very superficial.

There's nothing wrong with you posting the graphic photo, as you was only trying to spread awareness. I have people posting graphic images of things like animal cruelty and stuff like that on Facebook, and it never offends me. If she didn't like the graphic photo then she should have just scrolled past it or perhaps click on the right-hand corner of the photo and chose "hide this post from timeline" or something.

One time a friend posted a horrifying photo of lots of blood in a sea from murdered whales, and it actually disturbed me. But I didn't hold it against the friend who posted it. The friend shared the photo as a way to express how against animal cruelty they are. You was doing the same about the photo of the autistic boy, to show how you're against such harmful cases that go on in this world. That woman was just overreacting.

I agree. However, next time someone wants to attack me, I think I will back off and cool down for a bit. Then when I am ready, I will tell them "Don't worry about it."

If they want to argue with me, I will take them to PM and if they live in my city, invite them out for coffee.

Ok, this is exactly why I stay off facebook. My whole family has been in this dispute about what shows on someone's page that is posted by another. My mom constantly got on my brother's case about this. My other brother also did get on his case about it and then rat him out to mom. My sister even hopped on that band wagon and after long he ran to instagram and barely posts on facebook now that he knows half the family are snitches. But furthermore he knows that mom is sensitive towards things as well.

While this spat between family may seem unrelated its very easy for people to get bent out of shape for a "post that came on their page because someone else posted". My mom unfriended people for certain stuff on their pages due to religious convictions and the fact that she has church people reading her page which was what she also had to get after my brother about as well as others..
