I need help understanding this diagnosis. I was attributed with it, but I'm not sure I can recognize it, if that makes sense. Anybody have stories or experiences to share?

I have a friend from Canada who is on the spectrum and she has SM and she has shared how much she wants to communicate with her family and her peers in high school. Because of that, she gets left out a lot. The first time I talked with her, we talked via skype and I happened to catch her on a day when she was able to talk. After that, I would ask her a question and she would type back to me. She is a very nice young lady and she does everything like everyone else but in her own way too.
