What are some of the best ways to meet young adults? Like if you don't currently go to school or have a Job to meet people at?

Meetup.com. Find a group on Meetup that is relevant to something you are interested in and meets in your local area.

If no such group exists, start one. See the separate thread Learning LEADERSHIP skills: Not as hard as you might think?.

Meetup is free unless you are the organizer of a group, in which case the fee is approximately $20 per month if I recall correctly. If you decide to start a group but can't afford the Meetup organizer fee, hopefully you can convince your parents/whoever to pay for it for at least a few months until you have enough members who can to chip in on the cost.

Thanks. Though I'm hoping to do it naturally and don't like paid services etc. And also am not wanting to seek out people on the spectrum or at least people who feel the same way. As I'm a bit leery on Clingy type people & also want to date people as well & also want to be around the ordinary crowds. And hope to do things naturally like everyone else seems to.

You don't even want to seek out people who share particular hobbies/interests of yours?

As I said, Meetup.com is free if you aren't organizing your own group (although some of the groups themselves might charge a fee).

Even many NT's have difficulty finding new friends once they are no longer in school. That's why Meetup.com exists (it isn't just, or even primarily, for autistic people).

If you're hoping you will just find friends "naturally" by being "around the ordinary crowds", you're probably setting yourself up for a lot of frustration. It's not impossible to make friends that way, but it's much more difficult.

I do though I'm tot interested in seeking out people with similar struggles/disabilities is what I meant. I had a rough time in school was placed in cramped special ed class.

Hobbies is the best way I can think of. Maybe bars too if you like places like that and are social enough.
