My apologies to Blues Traveler for copping their lyric there. Just wanted to ask you, the Esteemed Panel, how communication works between you and your friends. Do you assume that people aren't interested in you just because they don't get in touch with you regularly? Or do you think they are interested but just waiting to hear from you? I've got a friend or two who are exactly like me and wait for the other person to initiate contact. Usually, we keep waiting for each other to call or e-mail, and we end up never speaking to each other again. With me, I'm just as excruciatingly introverted on the phone or by e-mail as I am in person so it's a double whammy. How do you cope with this?

I f*****g contact and speak to everybody i know and can easily get in touch with. If i can't easily get in touch with you. I don't reach.

I think people are people therefore sometimes they can be too busy to contact you and thats when I make the effort and normally vice versa.

My friends tend to be the ones who contact me instead of vice versa. I think it's because they tend to get lonely or bored faster, which makes them want to talk to somebody.

I'm always the one that does the calling

Call?! Communicate?! WHAT?! I don't ever talk to people online or on the phone. If it's not in person, I'm really boring, rather than you're run of the mill boring.

i tend to worry too much about whether people will call me or not to hang out. i usually just say something along the lines of "maybe we should hang out sometime" and normally they'll call me and then ill call them the next time. every other time, you see. muahaha. it might be stupid but it works for me and keeps my stress level down in regards to social insecurities and such. and if they dont call i may or may not call "out of turn" depending on... stuff.
