Avoiding certain people...

I was going to post this last night while it was on my mind, but I got distracted...

But here goes again.

So yesterday at work I was feeling pretty good and making the extra effort to take initiative in helping customers. Sometimes it does get boring so I wander around and check out what nice girls are in store and be a bit helpful to some. So this goes on and I spot a certain girl across the store and I instinctively wander over to take a look... and as soon as I realize who it was I got repulsed and wandered away immediately.
So she's this girl I was trying to woo last year. She's the sister of a co-worker I was "friends" with and I was interested in her and pushed myself to get to know her and be a friend to her and all that... She pretty much reacted to me very coldly and I was slow to come to this realization that I was just bothersome to her and we ended up blowing up at each other. Haven't seen her since that time and I honestly would prefer to forget the whole thing ever happened.
But I don't want to see her or her to see me so I go off and hide. I'll take my work break right then and wait it out till she leaves. I think to myself what I would say to her if I did go talk to her... then again she probably doesn't want to see me either. I wonder if I'm just being my anxious self and should just make no big deal out of this... but I feel embarrassed by the situation and would really rather not deal with it.
Well I waited it out and she left without knowing I was there.

Yep, fine story.
I get this way about certain people from my high class too. A lot of them were just as*holes and some were not so kind to me. I would just really rather not see them at all ever again. I'll usually spot them before they notice me and I'll hide away unless somehow forced to let them see me.

I sometimes wish I could move away and live somewhere else so I wouldn't have to worry about this sort of thing.

So anyone else have similar situations? Any people you actually avoid?
