Having AS means that one may not feel like interacting with narrow minded insensitive people. For these kinds of people are best suited to their own kind. It must be said that such people find it difficult meeting people anyway thus how then must it be more difficult for those that live with AS. That said, for the sake of it, as someone living with AS, I have no issues interacting with those that do not, save for the fact that if they are too simple minded but portray a persona that they ‘know it all’ I really can’t stand such people. I don’t think I have ever met someone living with AS, does anyone know of any groups in London where people living with AS meet on a regular basis? Would be interesting to explore.

iceb is right. Hopefully eventually there will be regular meets, at least every couple of weeks, just by people being encouraged by putting up their own ideas. I will post more formal groups too. My personal experience (though more in anxiety rather than ASD) is the more formal meets were harder to make friends. But they are good for getting accustomed to a social setting.

Other than that you could enquire at these websites:

Also check on networking sites like facebook
