Why do so many people get angry about differences of opinion
I can’t understand why some people get angry when I express a different opinion than theirs? It’s like they take offense that I don’t have the same likes/vision/understanding/prediction of a topic than they do. They see a debate as a fight rather than an exchange of ideas. Why does it mater if someone’s opinion/perspective of something is different, as long as the opinion is based off factual information. Also, How come when you definitively and objectively prove to someone that the information they are basing their personal views on, is not actually factual due to,say a miscommunication, you get called an annoying know it all and get them even more angry? I would want to know if I was basing my personal views on a false fact, so that I could adjust my views accordingly.
There are at least four patterns that arised from it;
-The typical egocentric always-wanna-be-right because they prefer to be 100% correct. Can be the character, can be a concept of most humans.
-The devotee of whatever they're very identified with. Usually are supporters of whatever. Tend to cluster into an echo chamber if they're the weak types. Very defensive.
-The zealous crusader who's very much against whatever someone else is identifying whatever, usually likes to provoke the ones above; can be mistaken for a troll because of it's extremist views.
-And an actual rage bait troll who does it for the drama. Because at the very crux of it: people actually prefer to be right than to help.
It's rare that there's are two or more parties who debates for fun around the net as a form of genuine exchange.
Where both are supporters of either sides but willing to see the other.

I have wondered the same thing. I think it’s about the need for an individual or a group to attempt to control another or to force propaganda. They control by attacking or silencing anyone with a thought different than their own. It’s this type of mindset that leads to ongoing conflict and war.
