They tell me I talk about my interests too much. Yet they literally never ask me questions, never really listen to me etc. I'm patient yet I don't know how I can when they refuse in that they say they can't ask me questions because when I talk it overwhelms them. Im trying to get space lately. I'm struggling in the relationship .yet when I bring it up, I'm the one who has to apologize. I'm starting to think they may not just have ASD. They make me feel guilty when I mention things. So now I just stay quiet.

Relationships are difficult to maintain Crystal

I mean I'm no expert so I don't really have much advice but I hope you and your friends can work this out as I think it's important to you

have you tried asking them what it is about you that they find overwhelming about you

I had friends like that. They would make fun of people that did things I did in front of me. If I asked them if they meant to make fun of me, they would deny it. They would ask me if I liked or didn't like things, then restrict or provide those things, respectively. It was so bizarre, that I even started making a log of the things they did. I eventually had to go no-contact with them because it became obvious they were just using my deficiencies and trust to hurt me for pleasure.

Keep a log of their behaviors, and after a while, look at it. Accept that that's how they are and decide if you want to put up with it or not.
