I have noticed this about me for some time now, something that I've been hard pressed to find someone who shares it. I never seem to miss people when I'm away. I see my family only a few times a year, and I rarely bother to call them or make the journey. Don't get me wrong, I love them, but these thoughts just don't occur to me.

The same holds true for my friends, and my girlfriend. I could go ages without seeing them and I'd never truly miss them. Despite how much I enjoy their company.

I rarely miss people. If ever I do it is for a very short time and usually because they used to figure in my daily routine.

[sarcasem]"Tell me about it!"[/sarcasem]

I am trying realy hard to keep in touch with my family it is very dificult bur the effort must be made, It must have been 2 years or mor between my last seeing my dad and going to the hospital where he was dieing, not good. So I made a resolution to try and visit them all at least once a year and the nearer ones much more often.

I just hope I can keep it up.

There are at least five people I can think of immediately who I miss terribly. The irony is I could get in contact with any of them, but it's all a bit scary.

I rarely miss anyone. I feel guilty about it quite a bit.

I do miss a couple of people on occasion, normally a couple of weeks after I stop seeing them daily.

Sometimes I miss people, but those times are becoming more and more sparse as time goes on.

Do I miss people? Sometimes I even miss myself... :(

The only people that I really miss are the ones that I can never see again.

But....do they miss you back? For me, it's hard when I do like someone and they don't care back.

I'd say that I only really miss people when it's too late to see them ever again - not necessarily dead, just... lost.

I pretty much stopped missing people.. Theres no point, its not like they are going to come back to you. However I miss myself deeply, as samtoo stated.

i am also away from my family. I think I do miss them a lot, esp. when i'm in difficulty or depression, i really want to be by their side then.
I don't call home frequently, b/c they usually call me first.
i remember one night, i felt missing them so badly i just want to go home immediately, but that feeling doesn't last long.
i guess those mood swings are part of my autistic traits. LOL, my NT mom doesn't seem to trust me on those feelings when I try hard to explain to her.
