a club that i am a member of at uni is having a social tonight which involves walking around town, going to different bars & drinking. i dont know whether i should go or not.

i always want to go to these things as i like the people from this club & i want them to be my friends. however on some of the times that i have been out before i have ended up not particularly enjoying it, sat in a corner on my own & stimming. on other times though i have enjoyed it fantastically.

question is does anyone have any advice on how to fit in more? as far as i know i am the only aspie in the club & the rest of them do not know i have AS.

You could still attend the social gathering but, you don't have to drink anything except Ginger Ale or water if you desire to drink
at all. Society creates too many alcoholics...and you don't have to go along with the crowd. Be yourself!
