Hello. I just found out about the term "aspergers" a little over a year ago and since then I've been reading books on the subject and debating it over and over again whether I actually have it or not. Well, I decided a little over a month now that I no doubt have it. I was denying any possibility that I might have it simply because I DIDN'T want to have it (which probably a lot of people do). In the beginning I was very confused because the possibilities of what I could have were pretty much OCD, tourettes and aspergers. I am confident enough to say, after doing lots of a research, that my diagnosis of what I have would be the exact same diagnosis I would receive from any GOOD doctor. I have diagnosed myself as having mild aspergers with OCD. The tourettes is no longer something that I think I have because in tourettes "tics" or "stims" are involuntary while in aspergers "stims" or "tics" are voluntary. Aspies simply stim because it feels good, while people with tourettes do them automatically (they can even stim/tic in their sleep). Anyways, I thought that I would tell you a little bit about myself. I just got a new computer (after being without one for over a year) and I've been desperately eager to meet someone with aspergers (either online or in person). I want to compare symptoms and just talk to people about certain things and see how I can relate to others with aspergers. If you have aspergers or any form of autism please add me on MSN. I won't post my email right in this forum topic because it might be against the rules, and also I'd probably have too many people add me on MSN, so if you wish to add me, you can click on my profile and add me. BTW, in my email address there is a .com after the gmail, there wasn't enough space to type my entire email address (most of you probably knew that)
