Can someone please explain to me what online friends are supposed to do? I can't figure it out...

I mean, I can see sending PMs as one thing but most things are better on the forums where a group can contribute.

So please - what does it mean?

There isn't a lot of point to it, I guess. I think it just means someone else to talk to when things get tough and to share their experiences of the world. At least that's the way I read it.

I'll be your friend if you like. Whereabouts are you in the UK? I'm afraid I forgot. ;)

they're just someone to talk to. some people find it easier to talk to someone digitally rather than in person so it can really help you open up if you've got trouble dealing with that.
