So this tuesday my club is meeting to discuss an activity next weekend and theres this girl I'm trying to be friends with we've spoken a few times and it's gone really well for the most part but I was wondering how I might be able to get to spend more time with her outside of the club b/c we only meet every couple weeks which isn't enough to get to know her. I was thinking of asking her if she could help me write a speech for my speech class or something like that.

We seem to have alot in common which honestly surprises me b/c I didn't think that could be possible. Anyway this isn't in love and dating b/c I'm just trying to be friends b/c I don't know if she likes me the same way and want to come off as a friend so atleast I can learn from being with a woman alot of the time. I am fairly confident at this point that I can atleast start up a conversation with her calmly (I have a problem of getting over stimulated in crowds and acting stupid but one on one I'm totally normal and calm) and discussing something like we even have the same political beliefs which is a HUGE boon for me I swear I could talk poli for hours!

Dont sneak up on her as a friend unless thats all you want out of the relationship. If your desire is more than that, then man-up and make the advance. Would you rather write a speech together or go out and do something fun together? If she is someone worth being with she deserves to know your honest intentions. If you lack the confidence to look her in the eye, smile, and ask her out.. reach up and grab it out of thin air. You can borrow it for 20 minutes as long as you keep it in your right front pocket.

She knows I like her and when I have made direct advances she seems to have rebuffed them I'm thinking she wants to be friends atleast for now and at any rate I want to be friends first just so I know I like her not necessarily forever just for now besides we need to hand out a little and I haven't hung out since like elementary school b/c I just got distant in high school so I don't know what to do around town for fun. I just want to get comfortable with her and her with me.
