Does anybody know on average how many friends an NT will have? Also how much on average they spend on each of their friends?

8O depends very much on whether they're introverted or extraverted, I think.

I'm an introverted NT (I think) and I have two close friends, and numerous acquaintances. Well, I consider people I've 'met' online to be acquaintances - but then you can differentiate between people 'whose posts are read often' and people you've 'PMed or spoken to using an IM program'...

So - it also depends heavily on your definition of friend :P

Yeah; Aspergers is about how you relate to things--not how many you know. Besides, most NTs don't feel it necessary to count how many friends they have, so we'll never know for sure. ;)

A black and white number is hard to come by because there are varying degrees of friendship, and the number changes.

One NT may have, for instance, 3 or 4 closest friends, and more people with which they just hang out with every once in a while, and many more people they are simply friendly with. People's perspectives differ. Even among NTs, different people even in the same situation mentioned above may respond differently--some may only count their closest friends, while others may include everyone they are friendly with, and everything in between.

everyone is diffrent AS or not it depends solely on the person, their chioce to be extroverted or introverted, it seems that most people have one or more friends.

It all depends on (gods, I do love lists!):
1.What kind of person said NT is
2.How good said NT's social skills are
3.How comfortable said NT is with other people
4.How biased said NT is.
5. How said NT comes across. Unless his comments are amusing, a crass NT is less likely to make friends than a smooth, gentlemanly NT.

NT's can have all different kinds of friends. One could have just a lot of aquaintances, another could have a few best friends.

I mean, I'm an aspie, but I still can't count how many friends I have! Some people consider me their friend and others don't. It will always be that way.

Every single NT in the world has exactly 57 friends. No need to thank me, just being a helpful citizen.

Friends are so complicated, luckily I only have three. I think there needs to be some internationally recognised friend algorithm; therefore it would be so easy to work out who were friends and who wasn’t.

Depends on the person. It also depends on what you consider a friend.

My NT Sister has 60 friends, and I, on the other hand, have a few close friends. I'm not jealous of my sister. Why should I be? I find myself to be very lucky.

I think is perfectly possible to have AS and have many acquaintances. I for one know alot of people who see me as a nervous character for the most part. Others see me as arrogant and pretentious.
I'd consider those who think I'm arrogant, simply do not know me too well as often I feel incredibly inferior to most people.
Well, I wouldn't consider them to my friends but they would say ''Yeah I know Sam, funny bloke..."
