Does NLD always mean being a boring person?

Just curious. When you don't have a functioning right brain, how can you make yourself interesting to others?

I wasn't sure what I was so I just took an online test.

Your total score is 6 and the average score is 9.39
Your Grade ** Left brain dominant **

If your score was below 8 then you are left brain dominant. You prefer things to be in a logical order and like identifying details instead of concepts. You like to plan ahead and are not impulsive in your decision making. You are seen as logical, practical and realistic.

The Online Test

Maybe ask them questions about things that interest them and really listen to what they say. It can be like taking a journey into part of their world. This probably would not work with everyone. If someone took me on a journey on how to repair a car, I don't think I could keep up.

Lol, sounds like typical, basic NT advice. Yes, I can make small talk. No, I can't do anything else. I am actually much shyer the more I see most people. Not so shy at first, then progressively shyer as small talk runs out.

That's where I stand.

That right brain/left brain stuff isn't actually true.

NLD does affect the right-brain primarily but both. So regardless of which, I think the aspects normally associated with the right brain are what were affected in me. Which is why I don't care for music, and I have a very plain, semi-messy apartment with nothing on the walls and no personality in it. I have lots of books and an ipad instead. I also don't really have interesting hobbies except some stuff I started doing to supposedly improve my NLD (like martial arts), and my special interest is politics and public policy, which most people find boring. Also, 0 spatial skills and creativity.

So, I'd say I definitely don't have a properly functioning right brain (or whatever it's called).

I know this thread is not about right/left brain, but this is kind of fun.

Right brain v Left brain

Clockwise = right brain
Counterclockwise = left brain

For me it was clockwise at first then it changed to counterclockwise for a bit and then back to clockwise.

I thought that because I was "balanced" that I was boring. the people you want to impress is just not that impressed with you and now you try to find fault with yourself. :(

For me at work I have nobody that shares my interests so what do I talk about? I have tried getting into their interests but theirs are really boring to me. haha

Well, it turned clockwise for me. I still have no spatial ability or creativity, so maybe the system doesn't work for autistic/nld people.

I fit the NLD list of traits to a tee, yet I'm a very, very interesting person and some say even fascinating. Not that they want to be friends with me, but that's another story. As people often say to me: "One thing you could never be is boring."
