Are you bothered by how your hair looks? I feel anixous prior to getting it cut as it's never how I want.
I have really straight hair naturally so most people think I straighten it, even though I don't.

I have very straight hair too. I don't think I've ever had a really bad haircut (it's almost always been long so you can't mess that up too badly) and the hairdresser I have now is a good friend. It usually does take 2-3 days for me to make peace with a haircut but once I've gotten used to it, it's ok after that.

Yes.

It always looks unbrushed, and never bouncy enough. Also the colour needs to be maintained every couple of months.

This morning one of my customers said i look like the english version of bruce lee (My hair is very floppy). Which probably narrowly beats Blakey(my colleague) being told he looks like Prince Harry.

A bit yeah. I always seem to end up with a bowl-cut, so I try to get it cut really short or gel it up over my forehead. My mom seems to think I look better with a bowl cut, but she doesn't know what the hell she's talking about

i have pretty long hair, so yeah, you can't really mess that up. it takes a while to get used to after it's been cut though.

but i'm sick of it. should i try bangs or something? it's just so boring now.

Long hair is boring.

My advice if you want to keep it long is to have it styled but not cut any shorter.

Is it typical for those with AS to be obssesive about the way they look. Like excessivly worrying over something petty, like a small blemish or the shape of your nose?

Sounds like me! I'll freak out if my hair is the teeniest bit too frizzy or if I have an annoying pimple. but the thing is, i doubt anyone else really will notice, or they're just too absorbed in their own flaws, so you don't have to fret too much :)

With me it sure as hell happens., all the time.

It also doesn't help that people over the internet pick out every flaw in your photos just to make you feel like crap. Most people look better in real life, anyway. I know I do.
