...a different way?

First off, how friendly/hostile are Danes compared to their Transatlantic cousins?

Second, there are different ways to please people of different cultures. How does one please a Dane? How can anybody get a Danish citizen to release a grudge on another?

This is not just for me to learn, but for anyone else who plans to visit Denmark or intermingle with Danes anywhere.

I have no idea. What's so special about the Danes?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denmark

A few things you might want to know about Denmark:

An enlightened and progressive nation of 5.5 million people, theirs is among the first to ban the use of large quantities of trans fat in food. Nations can do things like that when inertia is less of a problem and their governments act in the best interest of the people. Ours could take a lesson from this.

What's wrong with Danes? They've always been nice and peaceful to me.

LOL  I like this thread.

Being a Dane myself, I would say that I'm not sure we are that complicated (not any more than others). Or at least I don't hope so.
As far as I know, other people tend to find Danes quite friendly. But it might be more objective if you got an opinion from a non-Dane who knows Danes. But I can say that we usually aren't as wild as the old Vikings.

How does one please a Dane? - Make æbleskiver! :D for instance (kind of a spherular pancake if you could say so) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%86bleskiver . But no blood from neither first- nor second born children, thank you.
I don't think (hope) we are more different / difficult to please than our transatlantic cousins.

And about getting a Danish citizen to release a grudge on another... why would people want that? Or do I misunderstand the question?
Hm, the same way you get any other citizen to do it, I guess?

Anyway, we are not that dangerous, just come and visit Denmark if you like. :)
