I was skeptical at first, but never really gave it too much thought. My final opinion, as long as you don't smoke too much, it makes aspieness fade. I could actually 'connect' with people on a personal and human level when I'm stoned. As long as you don't let it control you, it's the closest thing I've found to 'feel human'.

marijuana is like lubrication to your social skills, I found. Try it, if not, the good news is there are no longterm negative effects from marijuana use.

It varies from person to person. I suggest you take further research on google or with an open minded doc. Search Marijuana and Autism for example. There is some research for it. Remember moderation is key, smoking loads dulls you out.

i smoke cannabis with people that i already can connect with, i simply use it too chill out, have fun and laughs, to empty my mind, or to improve creative thinking and such.

it's also a pretty good if you've got an enormous emotional load on you but cant get it out, it really helps to be stoned then, whether you want to talk to someone or think about what happend.

I know huh! I have loads of responsibility for a person my age(21) so naturally I'm going to have huge emotional loads that I don't know how to deal with. During these times, weed helps me get a grip on whatever easier. It's like god hugging you, and telling you everythings chill and relax.

Not if you live in one of the 13 states who approve of medical marijuana, and are over 18 years of age. Using marijuana to help your social skills and make your life run smoother is a medical use many licensed doctors will approve.

If you already take antidepressants, or xanax or something, Marijuana might help you out.

Yes, marijuana absolutely helps. There have been threads about that on here before, I think... About half the people responding are the strict-rule-abiding kind of Aspies who can't get past the fact that it is illegal in some places, so they have nothing to add to the topic.

I'm one of these "conservative. anti drug" types. With that said, I don't see the harm in occasional marijuana use. Constant smoking every day (hours on end) for years WILL dull your mind. However, occasional use probably has its benefits for many. Marijuana is said to help with many maladies including glaucoma. The lying to teens about the danger of marijuana is the worst thing a parent can do if they want to keep their children off drugs. This is because teens are not stupid, and when they see perfectly successful people using marijuana, they see a lie being taught. If they find out that the teachings about marijuana is incorrect, they might subconsciously believe the dangers of crack, meth, and other drugs are incorrect as well.

The fact that marijuana is illegal should carry some weight because of the risk of getting caught. In many states, getting caught with marijuana means that the state will deny you the ability to exercise your right to vote, own a gun, and even work in many professions. I agree that these laws are stupid and unconstitutional, but the police, judges, and prison guards enforce them for their financial gain. If it were up to me, we would have a completely different system when it comes to drugs.

Sure it helps you connect with people. It helps you connect with other people who use marijuana.

Artificial peace is still artificial. At some point, every crutch breaks.

LOL!! Anyway, i'm not gonna go into it, but yes there are long term effects. You'll just end up a slow vegetable. Instead of getting stonned to solve problems. Deal with the problems one by one. You'll end up with a lot more self worth.

The drug war is one of those wars *against* common humanity.......and yet it's legal to drink alcohol. Alcohol, in moderation, helps most people to be 'more social'......that is why it is served at 'social events' so regularly. To loosen people up. Decent wine kind of helps me 'socialize' and be 'freer and more easy going, but it doesn't change my basic self.....I just find it pleasant at the time......next day, though, I'm a bit foggy and not very productive...........I just can't swallow really cheap wine very well. It's horrible and not worth drinking. Marijuana makes my mind go somewhat 'crazy' and it brings out the paranoia in me to a pretty high degree, so I don't like marijuana. I think it should be legal, though, just like alcohol. I think it is ridiculous and unjust that people go to jail for possession of marijuana.

Ok Dr., thanks for your input. How about if you get stoned and then solve your problems?
