I wonder if anyone would like to join in this idea of doing a mini role play game. The idea is to have people pose questions comments that others could generate appropriate responses to what should be considered engaging conversation.

I don't want to limit how people may want to respond, so I do not want to propose any specific rules for how this should work. My suggestion would be that each poster make an attempt to respond to the previous question/comment and then ask a question/present a comment of their own, but i would like to encourage everyone to try to respond to as many questions/comments as possible. Maybe even add some commentary as to what you are thinking about some questions/comments/responses. It may be particularly helpful to point out quips and sarcasm and accompany that with the intentions behind it.
Most importantly, anyone feel free to jump into any conversation at any time. Pretend that you have been involved with it the whole time.

My motivation for doing this is to help me to learn how to make this work in the real-life type world, so I appreciate every attempt that each person makes.

*How does that work out for you as far as maintaining the interest of others? What I picture from this is that they are always expected to make the effort for you but you will never make the effort for them.

Indeed I have no desire to call them, but for some reason some people keep on searching me. Sometimes I'm glad, sometimes I perceive it as a nuisance, I'm definitely ambivalent, to me it feels like I'm ok on my own but if someone is kind to me I try to reciprocate.

this is hard for me because my scope of intresting topics is well.. only intresting to me.

So what would those interesting (to you) topics be?

"I don't believe that i was involved when that consensus was reached. What sorts of things interest you?"

*the goal is going to be more to SHOW interest in the person instead of actually BEING interested in the topic. This could lead to finding common ground at which time the individuals involved with the exchange can share some interest.

It's hard for me to, so I'm trying to get more ideas. I would normally freeze up in live situations, but being that this is slow paced and through text, we have ample time to think and formulate responses. Maybe after having the experience of reading the formulated responses, having a natural response could come easier.
