I think I have had dumb luck when I haven't expected it myself. I'm sure you all had read that my great-grandmother had passed away the week before Christmas at the age of 101. I had also told the moderators this, but I have yet to tell you all as members about it. A friend of mine, who had slept right next to me in the house I used to live with passed away also, at the age of 86.

Perhaps the biggest, most shocking news of all is that another friend of mine, who used to live right up the road from the house I live in now, passed away on Christmas Day, at the age of 50. I couldn't even tell he was even sick. I wonder what was wrong with him.

Has anyone else had such dumb luck on interesting days?

I was born on Christmas. And from what my Dad told me, my great grandfather died either on christmas or the day after. If that counts as dumb luck

My grandfather's funeral was shortly after the second plane struck the world trade centre.

That is very sad, and not to mention, dumb luck.
