Does anyone else here seem to attract, socially, a lot of friends who have a fatalistic attitude?

That is, people who try to scaremonger you a lot... people who are passive accepters of your fate?

How have you handled it?

In terms of social/career prospects and the effect of AS on them, or things in general?

A little bit of fatalism can be a healthy thing. IMO it is delusional to believe one is in control of every aspect of existence. The trick is knowing what must be accepted and what can be changed.
